A native of Panhandle, Texas, Dr. Sherwood attended the University of Texas, followed by dental school at the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he graduated Cum Laude. He then completed a post doctoral residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Cincinnati Children's Hospital where he received the honor of serving as Chief Surgical Resident.  He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has been in private practice in Austin since 1998.

An active member of the Austin community, Dr. Sherwood volunteers with Christina's Smile, Hope House group home for disabled children, St David's Dental Foundation and the Heart Gift Program, among others. He is also an active member of Grace Covenant Church, where he teaches and serves in the children's ministry.

Dr. Sherwood is married to Krista and the couple has four wonderful children: Grant, Gabby, Garrett and Gregory. In his spare time he loves playing basketball, coaching his kids in their various sports, and spending time with his family.

Megan is our hygiene coordinator and she has worked in both the clinical and administrative areas of dentistry since 2003. Megan is dedicated to helping our patients find appointment times that work best for their families, and you can always count on her to follow through! Megan loves the fun, friendly, professional atmosphere at Dr. Sherwood's office. Outside of work, Megan is very involved with her four horses and her pig "Frenchie". She also enjoys cooking, kayaking, fishing, and gardening along with showing her horses in the "western pleasure" and "reining" styles of riding.

Tiffani is one of our Dental Assistants. Tiffani has worked in dentistry since 2007, and she lists working with children as her favorite thing about Sherwood Pediatric Dentistry. At home, Tiffani is busy being a "soccer" mom, spending her free time with her husband and their three children.

Cassie is one of our Dental Assistants, and she has been in dentistry since 1995.  Cassie lists "building a relationship with the children based on trust" as her favorite part of working at Dr. Sherwood's office.  Cassie is married with two children.  As a family, they enjoy swimming, camping, fishing, and going to the beach!

As our Lead Dental Assistant, Blanca has been with Sherwood Pediatric Dentistry since 2001 and says she loves helping children care for their smiles.  A native of Honduras, Blanca is married with two children, Vicki and Dani. In her spare time, Blanca enjoys caring for her family, including her four dogs; Mitsy, Cricket, Roxie, and Jello.

As a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center, Rachel has been a practicing hygienist since 1994.  She joined Dr. Sherwood's team in 2005 and realized her love for pediatric dentistry.  Rachel finds the love and excitement that our patients bring to the dental experience most rewarding.   As a family, Rachel, her husband Ryan, and their two children enjoy road trips, camping, beach time, and volunteering at church.  Most of all, they love Red Raider football!

As our Lead Hygiene Assistant, Robin loves interacting with her little patients, making their visits educational and most of all, fun!  Robin has been a dental assistant since 1986.  At home, Robin enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with family.

Marcella graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.  She joined Dr. Sherwood's team in 2004.  Combining her love for children and teaching people to care for their oral health has made working for Dr. Sherwood a "dream that came true" for Marcella.  Marcella creates a fun and loving environment for her patients and looks forward to building rapport with each child.  Marcella is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two sons who fill their free time.  Additionally, Marcella is dedicated to raising awareness for the Histiocytosis Foundation and she is actively involved in her church.  Marcella loves reading, learning, and everything Italian!

David handles the patient accounting/insurance functions as well as the marketing efforts for our practice. His ability to help patients understand their insurance coverage and financial options are only part of his contribution to the team. David's background in marketing translates into a continued effort to offer our families the most current technology and services available. David joined the Sherwood team in 2006 and lists Dr. Sherwood's commitment to excellence as his favorite part of working here. Outside of our practice, David is a licensed Realtor. He also volunteers with The Center for Child Protection. When he isn't working, David enjoys traveling and spending time with his family at Lake Buchanan.

Office manager Denise is the behind-the-scenes support for the Sherwood Pediatric Dental team. She keeps our office running smoothly as we provide children with advanced dental care, and she loves her fellow team members. Outside of the office, Denise's favorite things are gardening, reading and spending time with family. She also enjoys the hot summer days and nights and visiting the lake house.

Michelle is our Scheduling and Financial Coordinator, which means she makes sure you are able to fit your child's dental treatment comfortably into your busy life.  Her goal is to make sure your child receives the right treatment at the right time.  Michelle has been in dentistry since 2004, working first as a clinical assistant for three years before moving to the administrative side.  Michelle lists the relationships she's built over time with the team, our patients and their parents as her favorite thing about working for Dr. Sherwood.  Away from work, Michelle volunteers with CASA of Williamson County.  In her free time she enjoys the being out in the sunshine, traveling, reading, church, time with friends and family, and taking her two dogs to the park.
